PLOT TWIST BY THE NOBLE ME

Lvira was confused.

Very confused.

She absentmindedly looked out the window.

She had never been too into boys-she was always the punk girl that didn’t take any crap from boys. But the dark stranger had intrigued her….and for some reason; she found it hard to think clearly. She always thought that those promiscuous girls at school who wore tiny skirts and put on makeup were pathetic, but now she was blushing like a schoolgirl, and her heart was beating fast.

But she also liked Lorcan…but in a different way, like he was her brother, the one that would always be there for her, always be ready with a hug when she needed it…like she did that afternoon.

With a small shock, she realized that she loved Lorcan.

But not romantically-as a friend, the closest friend of her heart.

He probably also felt this way-her time with him was not romantic at all, but sweet in another way-the pure, simple love of friendship.

They finally got back to the school.

Jennifer was the first to reach her.

“You skanky slut! How dare you touch MY boyfriend! He’s mine, you stupid bitch, MINE!” She screamed into Lvira’s face. She suddenly slapped her face. “That’s what you deserve, and more!” She sneered.

Lvira felt an angry heat surge up in her face. Who did this $*%($ think she was?

So when Jennifer reached up to slap her again, she grabbed her arm and twisted it up her back, until she was screaming in pain.

“Let go of me, you little bitch!”

She let go…but pinched her vindictively to leave her with a reminder.

She walked slowly over to the back of the building. After a while, she heard footsteps, and looked up. Lorcan was leaning on a wall, silently gazing at her.

“We need to talk.”

She met his eyes. “Yes. We do.”

He started talking, with a sense of urgency.

“Lvira, I really think I love you. I’ve never felt this way about anyone else before, and I really think you’re the one. I know you probably only think of me as a friend, but I really need to tell you before I explode.”

Lvira blinked. This was NOT how she wanted it to go.

“Lorcan…I love you, but just as a friend. You’re the best friend that I ever had, but I only think of you that way. I’m sorry…but I think I like someone else.”

Lorcan smiled sadly. “I didn’t think I had a chance. But can we still be friends?”

Lvira hugged him impulsively. “Yes. We’ll be friends. Nothing will ever change that.”

He hugged her back. “No,” he agreed. “Nothing can change that.”
